The Sol Community Counseling Central Austin office is located at 3400 Kerbey Lane, on the northwest corner of 34th Street and Kerbey Lane in central Austin. Our offices are on the second floor of the building, accessible from an outside staircase in the back of the building.
If you come by MoPac, exit 35th/38th and go east toward Lamar. At the light at Jefferson, take a right.
If you come from Lamar, go 38th street west toward MoPac. Look for the Burger King on your left at Jefferson, turn left.
Once on Jefferson, take your first left onto 34th street at the stop sign. You will go about two blocks and see a stop sign ahead of you. Turn left into the parking lot just before the stop sign. Referring to the above photo, the parking lot is behind the sign, to the left of the oak tree.
This is 3400 Kerbey Lane as seen from 34th Street, a light blue house with white trim and blue roof. For Sol Community Counseling, walk around the building to the back and use the outside staircase to enter the upstairs lobby.
DIRECTIONS TO OUR NORTH LOCATION:
We are located on a street just north of Howard Lane between I-35 and MoPac in north Austin.
Coming from the North on I-35:
Take the Howard Lane exit and make a right on Howard Lane. Then take your second right onto Ann Place. We are the 5th property on your right. Look for our sign on the building.
Coming from the South on I-35:
Take the Parmer/Howard Lane exit and follow the signs to get to Howard Lane on the feeder road Then make a left on Howard Lane. Then take your second right onto Ann Place. We are the 5th property on your right. Look for our sign on the building.
Coming from the South on MoPac:
Take the Scofield Ridge exit and make a right on Scofield Ridge. (This is the last free exit before MoPac becomes a toll road. It comes immediately after the Parmer Lane exit, about 4 miles north of 183.) Take Scofield Ridge for 1.1 miles. It will magically turn into Howard Lane (as roads do in Austin). After you pass your second light at Metric/Thermal, get into the left lane and make your first possible u-turn. (Howard is a divided road, so you will not be able to make a left directly onto Ann Place.) After the u-turn you will make a quick right onto Ann Place. We are the 5th property on your right. Look for our cedar post fence and the sign on the building.
Coming from the North on MoPac:
There are a few options. The simplest to explain is to exit Scofield Ridge and then follow the directions above.
A shorter route is to exit at Wells Branch/Howard Lane exit. Make a left at the light on Wells Branch. After .1 of a mile, you will make a right to get on Howard Lane. After 1.3 miles, you will make a left in order to stay on Howard Lane. (This is another one of those crazy-making Austin road naming tricks.) After the left, you will go through the light at Metric/Thermal, then get into the left lane and make your first possible u-turn. (Howard is a divided road, so you will not be able to make a left directly onto Ann Place.) After the u-turn you will make a quick right onto Ann Place. We are the 5th property on your right. Look for our cedar post fence and the sign on the building.
Howard Lane is serviced by a Capitol Metro bus stop almost directly across from the intersection with Ann Place. We are happy to be accessible for those who travel by public transport.
Howard Lane marks the northern termination of Lamar Blvd. However, Lamar does not quite reach Howard before it dumps drivers back onto the southbound feeder road of I-35. If you are traveling to us by coming up Lamar, you will need to turn at Parmer Lane, either jumping east to the I-35 northbound feeder road or west to Metric Blvd, and then heading north again to Howard Lane.
Once you arrive at the property, follow the stone path to the front door of the fron building. It is in the middle of the front of the building, up a couple of stairs, just under the large yellow sign. Once you enter the front door, the tea bar will be on your right side, and the waiting room on your left. Feel free to make yourself a cup of tea or water. Your counselor will come to find you in the waiting room at your meeting time.
